Recent work
Mid-century chairs, classic autos, family sofas — every piece leaves the shop better than it came in.

What we do
From a well-loved reading chair to a full classic-car interior. Bring us your piece and your ideas — we'll help pick the right fabric, foam, and finish.
The process
Drop by the shop or text us a few photos. We'll look at the piece, talk through your ideas, and give you a free quote — usually same day.
We'll walk you through swatches and options that suit the piece, your style, and your budget. Leather, velvet, bouclé, performance vinyl — we carry it all.
We get to work and keep you posted. When it's done we'll send photos before you even come in. Most pieces are ready in one to two weeks.
Real words from real neighbors and clients in Salt Lake.
★★★★★"I was very pleased with Diamond Needle Upholstery. I felt that their quote for labor was fair and they were good about communicating with me on the progress of the job. The upholstery work was good quality and I will definitely be back!"
★★★★★"Jackeline was very helpful, professional and friendly, she not only did a great job with our cushion, she saves us money, we don't have to replace a piece of furniture on our living room. She was open to ideas, she explain our options, and the result was amazing. Thank you for the great customer service. Let's support local small businesses"
It depends on the piece, the fabric you choose, and the condition of the frame and foam underneath. A single dining chair might run $150–$300; a full sofa can range from $800–$2,000+. We give free estimates with no obligation — just bring the piece in or send us photos.
Often, yes — especially for solid-wood-frame or vintage pieces that are built better than what's available new today. If the bones are good, reupholstery gets you a custom result at a fraction of replacement cost. We'll be honest with you if we think a piece isn't worth saving.
Yes. For larger pieces like sofas, sectionals, or built-in boat interiors that are hard to transport, we can come to you. Mention it when you request a quote and we'll work out the details.
Small jobs (a chair, a headboard, a motorcycle seat) are often done in a week. Larger furniture pieces usually take 1–2 weeks. Full auto or marine interiors can take 2–4 weeks depending on complexity. We'll give you a realistic timeline with your estimate.
We have access to a wide range of trade fabrics — leather, vinyl, velvet, boucle, performance weaves — in hundreds of colors. If you have a swatch or a reference photo, bring it in and we'll find the closest match or a great complement.
